We were in Japan, the country of rising sun, touring. One of many occasions, when we dropped in a modern looking shopping mall. And all members of the group enthusiastically began the day strolling through several shops, so as usual we, the shopping enthusiasts spent much more time than allotted. When the whole group gathered then the Manager of the travelling group remarked wittily:-
"Well Ladies I hope you all purchased new purses, leaving the old ones in the shops"
"Ha..ha..ha..Yeah..yeah"
A big loud of laughter from the men in the group almost broke the roof of the shuttle. For who and not any of their fair sex would understand how all male members enjoyed the truth in the joke, while accompanying their wives on such shopping errands.
On the day as several shops were offering sales on the mall, ladies just gave up lunch, took to marathon race to get best bargained products offered on sale. They shuffled products from utility to modern outfits. And picked up anything that their hands laid upon. It was next to impossible for them to give up temptation and be a loser in making a big deal that too on a foreign land.
Roving eyed on what others had picked up, not to miss any lucrative item and repent later for not being street smart, was all the ladies could think of at that moment. So fast had been their hand movements from left to right, up and down defying the needle of any stopwatch. That wasn't enough, forgetting all joint pain, their feet moved to acute, then obtuse ,then standing still to 90 degree, while chasing their coveted items. Given a chance to be there, an orthopedic surgeon would have fainted, panicking about the consequences no less than split heels or broken toes. An onlooker definitely would have received a jolt guessing open mouthed what could have infused so unmatched 'enthu' in the ladies while shopping furiously. While the men vowed in matrimony to be always by the side of their ladies through thick or thin, half covered holding the purchased bulk, paid the bills not uttering a word. After all what the defeated soldiers could do but to follow their principle 'Do until death'.
Watching the ladies fanatical in shopping, Pakhi (Indian Girl named 'bird'), a twenty year old girl travelling with the group was reminded of a promo for a leading jewelry brand. Visited by a very popular Indian actor, Mr. Aakash (Indian boy whose name means 'Infinite') with his wife, well known actress Mrs. Vasundhara (Indian name meaning the 'Earth'). Mr. Aakash lured his wife, showing off his knowledge on gems and jewelry. Being unaware about intricate working of a lady's mind. And she constantly admiring his updated knowledge, in an area not so common for a man. She continued appreciating him by saying
wide eyed, "Is that so!", and then, "Wonderful, I haven't the least idea."
Mr. Aakash doubly enthusiastic, approached to some more jewelry sets, while all of a sudden his wife took a trajectory towards the bill counter ordering smartly, "Pack those all and hand over the bills to my husband." Mr. Aakash dumfounded about he lacking in reading the mind of a lady, paid the bills and moved out of the shop. His wife happy-faced with a broad grin got onto the car beside him.
Ladies are that street smart when it comes to bargained shopping. And moreover, with heightened spirit on such an occasion, they never tend to drop while they shop.
Research Findings
One day while speaking to her elder brother, Dipto ( meaning 'Bright') a researcher, about the episode on shopping, Pakhi came to learn the startling fact about the gender based lifestyles and their adopted behavior.
What Dipto revealed that since their existing on earth women engaged themselves in searching and gathering things, as required in taking care of their families. Whereas men kept busy in hunting. If the specific prey/hunt they looked for was not available, men returned empty-handed. So the lifestyles the two genders adopted were different in role-playing.
Women adopted the lifestyle of gatherers whereas the men adopted the role of hunter, and continued to do so over the ages.
Consequence was women became experts in shopping. Proving Darwin's Theory right that states, 'What is exercised more and utilized more has potential and scope to grow.'
Gender Free lifestyle
Time has changed and life is rolling in alternated gear. And so folks why not give men several occasions to break free from their stereotyped role. Why not there be ........
ROLE REVERSAL, gender free roles, erasing the age old paradox,' That Men Are From Mars And Women Are From Venus.'
Naturalists believe that men are governed by the right site, while women are the products of other site of the brain. Whereas biological facts about actions required in a situation arise either of the two the biological sites ; thoughts and judgement or understanding from rearing and caring. Therefore separating two sites generating gender biased actions lack in understanding and harmony causing incompatibility.
Essence Of Compatibility
Accepting biological variations, adopting multiple roles of life styles streamline gender released actions and create an understanding about the need for compatibility in an individual's life or in a family life. Most importantly, vital tool for creating a balanced and happy life lies in conscious conditioning through gender released actions.
