Roadside Fiesta | Travel | Ina's Magazine

Globetrotting is an addiction what I believe. Being a globetrotter I look for fascinating features of people and places while travelling. One such is watching roadside stalls laced with delectable mouth watering cuisines. Air laced with several flavors lure passersby & they crave to taste some. As it is a well known fact that if one wanted to learn about a country, best way is to check its culture & cuisines. And if one wanted to be friendly, then the great way is to relish one's taste buds with the country's local cuisines.

Picturesque array of stalls landscaping the roadsides, especially in the Asian countries are worth in creating an indelible mark in the visitors' mind making the experience as an unforgettable journey in life.

India | Juicy Fiesta

Roadside Juicy  Fiesta | Bharat (Delhi)

Bharat (India) is a country where celebration of flavors & refreshments is widely spread across the country. Whether a country side or a metro one finds roadside stalls ready to refresh the visitors with its traditional drinks. From fresh sugarcane juice (ganne ka ras), lemonade( numboo pani), yogurt drinks (lassi) & many more. Such freshly prepared juicy fiestas are full of antioxidants & nutrients to replenish hydration & electrolytes.

Any tourist visiting Bharat, if not experienced juicy fiestas available in affordable price, then the trip would remain incomplete.

Bharat as a country is known for its diverse cultures & so its culinary tastes. To get a glimpse of the country's diversity one needs to tastes its snacks, local cuisines, refreshing juices, all freshly prepared and  served. When they do then the visitors will understand the beautiful milieu of people & the country as a whole.

Tabemono (Street Food) | Japan

Tabemono Fiesta | Japan (Asa-Kusa | Tokyo)

Japan as a country surprises its tourists holding onto it's
tradition & high-tech modern outlook. While in Japan, one comes across a variety of culinary dishes. Subtle in tastes, rich in dietary nutrients.

Prefectures on the seaside offers freshly cooked sea foods, very authentic satiating the taste buds. Raw, steamed, fried variety of crabs, scallops, squids, oysters, prawn & shrimps, grilled fishes are offered from Michi-no-Eki (roadside stations) in Japan.

Osaka is the birth place of classic Japanese street foods. The country has much more attraction for tourists in street food variety available during festivals and at shrines. Savory pancakes, octopus balls, fried noodles, ramen, grilled chicken skewers, are sold widely even in the Capital city, Tokyo.

Relishing authentic Japanese street foods while touring across Japan enriches visitors, informing ways to help survive a country's cultural tradition even in a high tech world of modern time.

Japan & Japanese people made me awestruck with its unique fervor of country's traditions and modernity by acquiring both and not creating a mixture of the two. For they know in their hearts of heart that the twine can never meet but, can be acquired individually & appreciated at the same time

Gelato | Food Truck | USA

Gelato Fiesta | New York City(Vth avenue)

USA, the country is acknowledged as the most modern & technologically highly developed in the world. Tourists travelling from the east, west, north & south come to know, how this country is different from rest of the world.

The tourists while visiting, note that street foods are in high demand and popular among the students, tourists & immigrants. American classic tasty foods are hotdogs, hamburgers, pizzas. Other than these sandwiches, barbeque, fried chicken, tacos, burrito serve great feasts, & are sold from food carts and food trucks, especially in the New York City & Los Angeles as well.

While in USA one can enjoy ice-creams in a variety of flavors, & so the gelatos. Roaming through New York, especially at Manhattan, then passing through Vth avenue, buying a gelato from a food truck, then sitting on a stone carved seat  & enjoying it feels heavenly. And an added attraction is watching passers by, when one realizes, this is it, this it, this is it, where one can meet diverse people from round the world.

Watching the diverse passersby it dawned upon me that why the cuisines of different countries are so popular in this country and how the fusion cultures and culinary, happened in this country.

Travel makes us aware that we all are the part of this globe. When we share & appreciate we become a global human race.
